We want to create a world where every child can discover and appreciate their true value and uniqueness. A world, where children learn to develop their full potential and overcome hurdles to become their best selves and contributes to making of a better world.
Our mission is to empower disadvantaged children with material and nonmaterial resources to become transformed change agents within their communities and in the world.
Our strategy is to develop their latent potential and channelize their energies to choosing and building their own positive future.
ADDRESSING THE FIVE ASPECTS OF A CHILD’S DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS
Cognitive development is a field of study in neuroscience and psychology focusing on a child’s development in terms of information processing, conceptual resources, perceptual skill, language learning, and other aspects of the developed adult brain and cognitive psychology.
Children develop empathy by experiencing it from others. You’re helping your child reflect on his experience and what triggers his feelings. For little ones, just knowing there’s a name for their feeling is an early tool in learning to manage the emotions that flood them.
Social-emotional development includes the child’s experience, expression, and management of emotions and the ability to establish positive and rewarding relationships with others. Young children are particularly attuned to social and emotional stimulation.
A child’s early home environment has long-term effects on development. The home environment can even affect a child’s brain development. A risk factor is a condition that is statistically associated with a given outcome. … They are said to be at risk because as a group they have a higher incidence of dropout.
Physical play includes activities that use physical movements to allow children to use their energy, and it gives children the chance to develop gross and fine motor skills, learn new things and socialize.
